The purpose of the COVER EXCELLENCE Awards is to recognise individuals for extra-ordinary effort and dedication to an industry aimed at improving the financial security of consumers. These awards acknowledge individuals who have made a significant contribution to the effectiveness and reputation of our industry.

 Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:

Short Term

Intermediary

Underwriting Management

Reinsurance

Criteria

The main criterion for nomination and selection is:

A significant and extra-ordinary contribution to the Financial Services industry

The Excellence Awards are in recognition of individuals’ commitment to the industry.  Their contributions made a significant impact on the industry or have positively shaped the industry in such ways as to encourage further innovation and dedication from others.

Other criteria to consider are:

• innovation in product or service delivery;
• improvement of the reputation of the industry;
• facilitating growth in the industry;
• ongoing contribution to the industry: voluntary involvement in industry bodies; participation in discussions with other   stakeholders; training interventions and/or education initiatives;
• any additional motivated reasons, for example, social upliftment programmes, mentorship, environmental sustainability, BEE, and so on.

Evaluation

The winners will be selected by an independent panel of judges, based on nominations received.

• Nominations are submitted online.
• All nominations are assessed against nomination criteria and submitted to judges.
• The judging panel will meet to consider nominations and discuss rationales, in each category.
• The judges compile a list of finalists.
• Winners are notified and are invited to attend the Gala dinner at Sun City.

Submission

Please note the following, before submitting your application:

• All information on the Nomination/Entry Form must be completed in full
• Please be a comprehensive as possible in your motivation
• The final date for submissions is 15 April 2015
• Finalists will be notified by 30 April 2015
• Please ensure that the nominee’s details are provided, in the event that the judges may need to make contact for clarification purposes
• Please ensure that you select the appropriate category.
