Transit and Envirosure strategic partnership

Transit Underwriting Managers is excited to inform its valued brokers and clients of the conclusion of a strategic partnership and collaboration in the hazardous and non-hazardous goods in transit insurance market with Envirosure Underwriting Managers with effect from 1 May 2016. The two businesses will remain separate brands and financial service providers that will leverage off each other’s management experience, product expertise, back office efficiencies and incident management capabilities.

In order to unlock the synergies and enhance the specialisation in the two businesses, management of Transit and Envirosure will leverage off the strengths of the respective businesses and introduce some exciting changes to the product offering and incident management capabilities of Transit.

Sjanine Tanner and Phillip Rentschler the Managing Directors of Envirosure and Transit respectively expect the enhancements in the product structure and new incident response capabilities provided in partnership with long standing service providers of Envirosure to bring greater peace of mind and relief to transport and logistics operators to their industry which is plagued by high incidences of hijackings, accidents and other incidents. Envirosure will at the same time introduce tailored goods in transit product for the hazardous goods transporters that will be available in partnership with Transit.

Transit will also realign its internal processes and functions to support the partnership, enhanced product and customer experience for its brokers and clients. The enhancements and rollout will be efficient, seamless and both businesses will continue writing distinct and specialised products on behalf of Compass Insurance Company Limited.

Lireas Holdings and Phillip Rentschler welcome Sjanine Tanner and Douglas Carmody who became co-shareholders and directors of Transit with effect from 1 May 2016. Sjanine and Phillip are excited about this development and look forward to working together in the strategic partnership.
