This year’s theme focused on key areas of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. The events in Johannesburg and Cape Town were well received, reaching close to 600 financial intermediaries.
The line-up featured Wonga.com co-founder Jonty Hurwitz, economic analyst Stephen Archer, Credit Suisse Head of Global Demographics and Pension Research Dr Amlan Roy, Roland Rousseau, Head of Barclays Risk Strategy Group and political analyst Eusebius McKaiser.
The i3 Summit seeks to offer financial intermediaries independent views on the direction of the world economy, long-term investment opportunities and issues that are relevant to the audience, such as the rise of robo-advisers. It also provides an avenue to share international insights into portfolio construction and the management of clients’ risk.
The forum concluded with panel discussions featuring captains of industry who gave insight into their companies and they also shared lessons on how they are navigating the political, economic and changing industry.
